Personalized Leather Journals are here…
August 20, 2008 at 10:53 am | In Journals & Journal Writing, Uncategorized | No CommentsIf you’re a writer, avid journal writer, or even a beginner journal writer - you know just how important the written word is for you today, tomorrow, and possibly even generations to come. Think of all of the famous journals, diaries and letters that have weathered the test of time and are in existence today because of the quality of paper those words were crafted onto.
Well, we’re so excited to finally offer our customers a fantastic collection of personalized leather journals. Each one is custom made in the USA and manufactured using top-grain hides, tanned and individually bound by hand to the paper using an Old World binding technique. Many of the journals feature archival quality rough cut paper which essentially means that the paper is carefully hand-torn and folded - providing that unique texture and feel of an old-fashioned paper press. Many of the journals come in your choice of colors and closure type. Aside from the ability to customize the look and feel of these journals, customers can opt to have their name or initials laser engraved onto the front of the journal. A Little History About Us…
Back in 1993 - what now seems like such a long ago - I started a small publishing company named U-Talk Publications. I specialized in creating and publishing unique memory books and journals for a variety of audiences, including moms to be. Thankfully, the products proved to be quite a success and I found that I loved offering products that helped people record special memories. While simultaneously running the business, I also spent several years running a popular website (that I no longer operate) with the words, “Journal”, “Writing”, and “.com” in the domain. : ) After a little over 10 years as both a print and a web publisher, I decided to make the switch from a manufacturer of paper products to a retailer of paper goods.
In late 2006, after discovering so many amazing gift, memory book, stationery, and journal manufacturers, ScribeTime.com was born. Once again, I find myself offering fantastic products that allow people to celebrate life and special events and record the special memories and thoughts that accompany them.
